· Open Course on: Fiber Optic Sensors: An Introduction for Intellectual Property Managers

Fiber optic sensors are increasingly used in aerospace, defense, oil and gas, electric power, robotics, medical, civil structures, ships, undersea data collection, manufacturing, and environmental monitoring. As the technology matures and the number of competitors continues to increase intellectual property challenges have become a concern with thousands of patents and billions of dollars at stake. This course is intended to introduce fiber optic sensors to intellectual property managers who have not been exposed to this technology. The course consists of lectures and demonstrations of the technology as well as discussions associated with intellectual property bases. For patent specific training, development, or review please contact admin@cgresearchllc.com .

Instructor: Eric Udd, has been developing fiber optic sensor technology since 1977 and has served as an expert witness for a series of intellectual property cases. His experience involves a wide range of applications including aerospace, defense, oil and gas, undersea, surface ships, manufacturing, medical, robotics, manufacturing and environmental monitoring.
